A Kuala Lumpur studio working in mercury — eight to twelve made-to-measure showpieces a year, finished by hand.
Studio · Mercury study, 2026Bubu is a Kuala Lumpur studio working in made-to-measure showpieces. The thesis is simple: dress the body in mercury. Every garment is one-of-one, fitted over four to six weeks of patterning, casting, and quiet revision. We do not sell off-the-rack. We do not stage seasons. Each NEO piece leaves the studio when it is finished, and not before.

Personal Fitting
Private fitting at the Kuala Lumpur studio. Full pattern measurements, mockup toile, and a final adjustment session. Two-hour blocks, by appointment.

Personal Shopping
An assembled wardrobe of NEO and complementary house pieces, edited around a single brief. We ship a curated rail; you keep what stays.

Accessory Selection
The small objects that finish a piece — chrome hardware, weighted hems, a single earring. Selected from the house archive and outside makers we trust.

Wardrobe Edit
An honest walk through everything you already own. Half a day, no judgement, full notes. What stays, what is altered, what is given a final outing.

Style Consultation
One to two sessions covering silhouette preferences, occasion mapping, and a written direction document. Fixed-fee, no commitment to commission.

Custom Tailoring
Bespoke commission, fully patterned and made-to-measure. Includes initial consultation, toile, mid-build fitting, and final delivery in a numbered case.
